FBC undertakes the construction of refrigeration units with special requirements manufactures and modifies refrigeration units and participates in experimental programs
1. Two-stage Organic Rankine Circle (ORC) for the production of electricity from solar energy.
Construction of a two-stage ORC machine with scroll-type launchers in series to convert thermal energy from vacuum collector fields to electricity. The design engine temperature is 130 °C and the nominal power is 12 kW. The power output is attributed to a reverse osmosis removal system for the production of seawater drinking water.
The machine was constructed under the research project 09-SYN32-982, funded by the General Secretariat of Research and Technology (GSRT), coordinated by the Renewable Energy Sources team of the Agricultural University of Athens.
2. Construction of a simple ORC machine
Construction of a simple ORC machine for supercritical operation (operation above the critical point), for recovering heat from aggregate photovoltaic elements and transforming it into electricity to increase the productivity of photovoltaics. The engine design temperature is 90 ° C and the nominal power of 7 kW. In addition to the machine's composition, FBC also undertook the conversion of the scroll dispenser to ensure resistance to supercritical pressures.
The machine was constructed in the framework of the CPV-Rankine research project funded by the European Commission, coordinated by the Renewable Energy Sources team of the Agricultural University of Athens.
3. Hydrocoolers
Construction required for chilling or spraying cold water in vegetables and fruits before freezing.
4. Buffer tanks
Construction for balancing-equalizing pressures and levels in various refrigeration lines.
